Suspending an Azerbaijani Shah Deniz gas offshore field well has no impact on exports, SOCAR VP Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh told journalists.
He said there are four wells operating in the field, and one well was suspended due to technical problems, and now the company BP, which is the technical operator of the field, is working to commission it.
"Roughly 27-28 million cubic meters of gas per day was produced while there were five wells operating at the field, now the figure is 23 million cubic meters. The only negative factor of the well decommissioning resulted in the selection of gas from underground storage facilities of the country," Yusifzade said.
He stressed that it has not impacted export operations.
