The Supervisory Board of JSC Telasi confirmed the head of generating enterprises of the INTER RAO UES in Georgia, (Ltd Mtkvari Energy, JSC Hrami HPP-1 JSC and Hrami HPP-2) Devi Kandelaki as the new CEO, the company said.
Kandelaki graduated from the Economics Faculty of the Tbilisi State University in 1991. He received the diploma of the European School of Management in 2005. In 2000 Kandelaki became a financial manager at AES-Mtkvari, and was commercial director of the company during 2000-2013. Kandelaki was CEO of Mtkvari Energy, JSC Hrami HPP-1 and JSC Hrami HPP-2 from 2008.
JSC Telasi is one of the largest network companies in Georgia, providing electricity distribution and sale in Tbilisi. The company is a supplier of electricity to more than 460,000 customers. In August 2003, Telasi joined Inter RAO UES which has a 75 per cent stake and a 25 per cent stake owned by the state.
