Petrochemical products make up over 94% of Azerbaijan's export

In January-September 2012, petrochemical products worth $ 22.5 billion were exported abroad from Azerbaijan, the balance of payments, revealed by Azerbaijani Central Bank reported.

The share of oil and gas products in the exported goods stood at 94.5 percent.

Some $1.2 billion of the total volume of exported petrochemical products fall to the share of processed oil products, while oil worth $21.3 billion was exported from the country.

Of the total volume of exported oil, Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC) extracted products worth $20.1 billion. Other enterprises exported oil worth $ 1.2 billion, $89.8 million of which accounted for Shah Deniz field condensate, and $ 1.1 billion for SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan).

The total cost of exported goods, accounting for non-oil sector, amounted to $1360.6 billion, increasing by 21.6 percent.
