Kazakh companies have agreed to build a grain terminal and expand the capacity of the terminal for liquefied gas transshipment in Kerch. The agreement was reached during the visit of Kazakh Ambassador to Ukraine Zautbek Turisbekov to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"The meetings were held with Chairman of Crimea's Council of Ministers Anatoly Mogilev, Chairman of Crimea's Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Konstantinov and Kerch city mayor Oleg Osadchy," the ministry said today.
According to the statement, the parties agreed to expand the capacity of "AEGaz Terminal" up to one million tons of liquefied gas transshipment in Kerch city. Its shareholders are Kazakh companies.
"Moreover, an agreement on Kazakh investors' construction of a grain terminal with a capacity of up to 700,000 tons was reached," a statement said.
During his visit to the Crimea Zautbek Turisbekov also met with Crimean Resort and Tourism Minister Alexander Live. Issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed.
"The sides expressed mutual interest in the development of Kazakh and Crimean tourism programs," the statement said. "Alexander Liev expressed willingness to participate in the project of the Kazakh embassy in Ukraine "Medical tourism", targeted at the rehabilitation programs of Kazakh people in the best health resorts of the Western Ukraine and the Crimea."
