The volume of investments in the oil sector exceeded 1.84 billion manat in January-May 2013 compared to 1.4 billion manat in January-May last year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend today.
"Accordingly, investments in the oil sector increased by 30.3 percent in January-May compared to the same period of last year," the State Committee said.
According to the Committee, around 430.9 million manat were invested in the oil sector in May compared to 343.3 million manat in May 2012.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the amount of investments in the country's industry exceeded 2.75 billion manat in January-May or 45.1 percent more than in January-May last year.
More than 1.85 billion manat of the total amount invested in the industry fell to the mining industry or 30.7 percent more than in the same period of 2012.
The investments in the production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat in January-May totaled 111.1 million manat or 8 percent less than in January-May 2012.
