SOCAR and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, a SOCAR statement released on Thursday says.

The document was signed by the head of SOCAR Georgia Mahir Mammadov and the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia David Sergeyenko.

In the framework of the Memorandum, SOCAR is going to pay till the end of 2013 all the costs for the use of gas and electric power of all children's houses in Georgia.

The country has 44 children's houses, and their annual gas and electric power consumption is about 190 thousand lari ($115 thousand).

On October 13, 2011, SOCAR signed with the same ministry a similar memorandum, according to which it paid 89,233 Lari ($ 55 thousand) for the gas and electric power consumption of 18 orphanages till the end of 2012.
