The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of energy efficiency, EBRD president Suma Chakrabarti said at a press conference, dedicated to his visit to the region, in Baku on Monday.
"One of many perspective directions of cooperation with Azerbaijan, which we see, is the efficient use of energy," he added. "This area is perspective and there is an area for work. Moreover, we believe that it is possible to work in support for business women. For example, there are specialized loan products for business women in Turkey and other neighboring countries."
However, there are no more or less priority sectors of cooperation for EBRD.
"Your country has enough spheres with great potential for development in the non-oil sector, such as agriculture," he said. "The minister has familiarized us today with a booth demonstrating Azerbaijan's recent economic achievements, which has impressed me greatly."
