SOCAR to increase number of petrol stations in Georgia

The number of SOCAR's filling stations in Georgia will reach 120 by late 2013, SOCAR Energy Georgia (SOCAR's branch in Georgia) said today.

According to the report, at present, there are about 110 SOCAR's filling stations.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia, is engaged in oil products sales in Georgia.

"SOCAR Georgia Petroleum's turnover is tens of millions of dollars," the report says. "It successfully imports and sells quality products on the Georgian market."

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country (it has two refineries on its balance sheet), and owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland. SOCAR is co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim.
