SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) carried out drilling work (except joint enterprises and operational companies) of 9,094 meters in July, 2013, SOCAR reported on Monday.
According to the report, around 8,572 meters of the total volume of drilling work was drilling and around 522 meters was for exploration drilling.
According to the report, SOCAR carried out the drilling (except joint enterprises and operational companies) of 92,428 meters from January to July, 2013, around 86,670 meters of which fell to operation drilling and 5,758 meters to exploration drilling.
SOCAR includes production units such as "Azneft" (the enterprise on production of oil and gas in sea and on land) ,"Azerikimya" (the enterprise of chemical industry) and "Azerigas" (gas distribution enterprise).
Jointly with its foreign partners, SOCAR participates in such large projects as the development of "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field" and the "Shah Deniz", the gas condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
