Volumes of gas and condensate production at Shah Deniz field in Caspian Sea released in Azerbaijan

44.1 billion cubic meters of gas was exported to the world market from Shah Deniz gas condensate in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian sea from the beginning of production to September 1, 2013, head of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev told in his article published in Azerbaijan newspaper on Friday.

According to the article, since the beginning of production 11,5 million tons of gas condensate was exported to the world market from the field.

About 7.8 billion cubic meters of gas and 2 million cubic meters of condensate was produced at Shah Deniz in 2012.

Currently, the daily volume of production at Shah Deniz gas condensate amounts to 27.3 million cubic meters of gas and 6,700 tons of condensate.

The proven reserves of Shah Deniz field amounts to 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas and 240 million tons of condensate.

The contract for the development of the offshore Shah Deniz field was signed in June 1996. Participants of the agreement are BP (operator) - 25.5 percent, Statoil - 25,5 percent, NICO - 10 percent, Total - 10 percent, Lukoil - 10 percent, TPAO - nine percent, SOCAR - 10 percent.
