Some 15 million tons of oil expected to be produced at Kazakh Kashagan field by 2022

The oil production at Kashagan field in Kazakhstan will amount to 15 million tons per year as of 2022.

Oil production at the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan will amount to 15 million tons per year as of 2022, according to a message from the Samruk-Kazyna's Fund citing the development strategy of national company, KazMunaiGas.

It is expected that around 14.876 million tons of oil will be produced at Kashagan field in 2022 and the share of KazMunaiGas in this volume will be equal to 2.511 million tons, according to the document.

It is expected that 39.315 million tons of oil will be produced at the Tengiz field in 2022 and about 7.863 million tons of this volume will constitute the share of KazMunaiGas, according to the development strategy of the national company.

About 7.760 million tons of oil will be produced at the Karachaganak field in 2022 and the share of KazMunaiGas will amount to 776,000 tons of this volume.

These forecasted figures may be corrected during the production process, according to Samruk-Kazyna's Fund.
