Kazakhstan will create several joint ventures with major foreign companies for oil and gas engineering production in the next two years, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported on April 14.
Such a statement was made by chief executive of Kazakhstan's Engineering Union Timurlan Altayev at a briefing in Astana.
"Oil and gas sphere is quite attractive for investors, has clear budget and is rapidly developing," Altayev said.
Earlier Kazakhstan's Engineering Union held talks with Tengizchevroil, which gave full understanding of the list of foreign companies interested in such joint ventures. About 40 foreign companies will be engaged in them, according to Altayev.
"We will start to produce about 30-40 new products which have never been produced here - different reservoirs, pipes, drilling equipment. Production will be launched in six months," he said.
