SOCAR increases oil exports from Supsa port

Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) exported 2.53 million metric tons of oil from the Georgian port of Supsa in Jan.-Oct. 2014, versus 2.32 million metric tons in Jan.-Oct. 2013, according to a message from SOCAR.

The company said Nov. 3 that in October, it exported 250,220 metric tons of oil from Supsa, compared to 242,260 metric tons of oil in the same month of 2013.

In total, in 2013, SOCAR exported around 2.73 million metric tons of oil from Supsa, versus 2.74 million metric tons in 2012.

The oil is delivered to Supsa via the Baku-Supsa pipeline.

The Baku-Supsa pipeline is being operated by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC).
