SOCAR intends to expand filling stations’ network in Ukraine in 2015

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to increase the number of its filling stations in Ukraine to 60 in 2015, the company's Ukrainian division told Trend on Feb.10.

The company said that five new filling stations under the brand name of SOCAR have been commissioned in Ukraine since early 2015 and currently, their total number is 47.

The company said in general, it is planned to expand the filling stations' network and increase their number at least to 100.

Another filling station under the brand name of SOCAR was commissioned in Odessa. It became the 13th filling station of SOCAR in Ukraine's Odessa province, said the company.

Fuel, purchased from Belarus, Poland and Lithuania is processed at SOCAR's filling stations in Ukraine, according to the company.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan continues its operation and expansion of its filling stations' network in Ukraine despite the difficult situation in the country.

SOCAR, the only producer of petroleum products in Azerbaijan, has two oil refineries, as well as gas filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.

SOCAR exported 1.2 million metric tons of petroleum products from Azerbaijan in 2014, compared to nearly 1.05 million metric tons in 2013.
