Around 437.4 million manats was invested in the Azerbaijani oil sector in January 2015 which is 21.1 times more than in January 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of January said.
The total volume of capital investments in the Azerbaijani industrial sector amounted to 462.4 million manats in January, which is 88.2 percent more than in the same period of 2014, the report said.
Around 437.3 million manats of this amount was invested in the mining industry during this period, which is 2.1 times more than in the same period of 2014.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat during this period amounted to 6.3 million manats, which is 4.5 percent more than in the same period of 2014.
