Russia's Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped 7.23 million metric tons of oil in January 2015, or 13.8 percent more than in January 2014, a message posted on Novorossiysk port's website said on Feb.23.
The Novorossiysk port transshipped 2.97 million metric tons of petroleum products during the reporting period, which is 24.8 percent (590,900 metric tons) more than in January 2014, according to the message.
In total, the port transshipped 12.7 million metric tons of various cargoes in January 2015, which is 16.2 percent more than in January 2014, according to the port's website.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) ships its own oil through the Novorossiysk port. Oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline.
