Chinese company KERUI Group plans to participate in mobile drilling rigs production in northern Kazakhstan

Chinese company KERUI Group plans to participate in mobile drilling rigs production in northern Kazakhstan, the official website of North-Kazakhstan region said.

The head of the region and the CEO of Kazakh branch of KERUI Group held a meeting and discussed the implementation of the project.

The production is planned to launch on the basis of the Petropavlovsk plant of heavy machine building. The project will be initiated until the end of 2015 and will cost about $100 million.

The new plant will produce mobile drilling rigs weighting 300-650 metric tons for drilling up to a depth of 10 kilometers. The management of Petropavlovsk plant of heavy machine building plans to supply the rigs to Russia.

The head of Kazakh branch of KERUI Group said the company would provide the plant with modern high-tech technologies.

The head of the North-Kazakhstan region Erik Sultanov noted that this project was important for the region, and promised to support it in credit agreements.
