Aktau International Sea Trade Port transshipped 182,000 tons of oil cargo in January 2016 compared to 520,000 tons in January 2015, said the port Feb. 8.
Part of the oil shipped through the Aktau Port is transported to Baku, where by the railway comes to the Black Sea ports of Georgia, and is also transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
The port transshipped 256,000 tons of dry cargo in January 2016.
Some 93,000 tons of it accounted for metal products, 57,000 tons - for ferry cargo, 83,000 tons - for grain, 23,000 tons - for other cargoes, said the port.
In total, the port transshipped 5.9 million tons of cargo in 2015 compared to10.27 million tons in 2014.
