Azerbaijan's SOCAR-AQS LLC has started drilling an oil well from the new platform #7 at the Guneshli field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the company told Trend April 6.
The well's projected depth is 2,850 meters.
The customer of the drilling work is Azneft production association of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR.
The shallow part of Guneshli field is the largest oil and gas structure, which is being developed by SOCAR at its own expense.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling as a joint venture, rendering integrated services for drilling and well servicing.
