The SOCAR Turkey Energy company has named its new director general.
Deputy head of the Investments Division of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Zaur Gahramanov has been appointed to this post in accordance with the decision of the SOCAR Turkey Energy board, the company told Trend Apr.25.
He replaced Kenan Yavuz who resigned from his post.
Head of the Board of SOCAR Turkey Energy Vagif Aliyev expressed gratitude to Yavuz for his activities as the company's director general and wished success to Gahramanov.
Vagif Aliyev said that the company has achieved success under the leadership of Yavuz.
"When serving as the director general, he supported the spread of the company's investments across Turkey and turning the company into a competitive player in the country's energy sector," said Aliyev, adding that Yavuz will continue to serve as a board member of the company.
Further, Vagif Aliyev said that Gahramanov has more than eight years held important positions in SOCAR and made a significant contribution to strengthening the company's international position, increasing its competitiveness on the international arena.
