Iran's gas deliveries to power plants plunges by 12%

Iran's daily gas deliveries to the power plants decreased by 11.7% to 121 million cubic meters in 27 days of current fiscal year, started on March 21.

During this period, some 3.274 billion cubic meters of natural gas was delivered to power plants in total, Energy Ministry's weekly report said on April 26.

Iran also increase diesel and mazut supply to power plants by 30.4 percent and 14.8 percent to 60 million and 209 million liters respectively during the mentioned period.

About 16.335 billion kilowatts-hour of electricity was produced in Iran during 27 days.

Iran decreased electricity exports by 64 percent to 181 million kWh and increased electricity imports by 31 percent to 383 million kWh during this period. Therefore, the country's net electricity imports stood at 202 million kWh.
