Russia's international sea trade port Novorossiysk transshipped 19.77 million tons of oil in the first quarter of 2016 versus 19.51 million tons during the same period of 2015, read the message posted on the port's website.
Novorossiysk port transshipped 8.83 million tons of oil products during the period as compared to 8.67 million tons transshipped in January-March 2015.
The port transshipped 37.02 million tons of various cargos in the first quarter of 2016 versus 35.63 million tons during the same period of 2015.
Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR also implements the shipment of its oil via Novorossiysk port. Oil is delivered to the port via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
