Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim says that during his visit to Azerbaijan on June 3 Ankara and Baku will discuss some important energy issues, such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project and the construction of the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP).
"Besides the energy issues, the situation in the South Caucasus and the development of the Turkey-Azerbaijan bilateral relations will be discussed during the visit to Baku," Yildirim told reporters, TRT Haber news channel said June 2.
"For Turkey, Azerbaijan is a fraternal country," added Yildirim.
Yildirim was appointed the prime minister in Turkey on May 20.
The visit to Azerbaijan will be his first foreign trip as Turkey's prime minister.
Azerbaijan and Turkey intend to increase their trade turnover to $15 billion.
