Iran's liquid fuels production increased by million barrels per day (mb/d) to 4.4 mb/d in May 2016 compared to April - May 2015, on average, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.
The term "petroleum and other liquids" encompasses crude oil, lease condensate, natural gas liquids, biofuels, coal-to-liquids, gas-to-liquids, and refinery processing gains.
The report didn't update Iran's crude oil production level for May, but said that the country produced 3.03 mb/d in 1Q16 compared to 2.8 mb/d in 4Q15.
However, Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that their crude oil output level reached 3.7 mb/d in May.
