Russia’s Novorossiysk port increases oil transhipment

Russia’s Novorossiysk international sea trade port transhipped 34.43 million tons of oil in January-May 2016 compared to 31.87 million tons in the same period of 2015, said a message posted on the port’s website.

Novorossiysk port transhipped 14.13 million tons of oil products during the reporting period compared to 14.05 million tons in January-May 2015.

The port transhipped 62.59 million tons of various cargos in January-May 2016 compared to 58.68 million tons in the same period of 2015.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) tranships its oil via the Novorossiysk port. The oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
