Azerbaijani operating company Salyan Oil, which is developing the Kursangi and Garabagli onshore oil fields in Azerbaijan, has produced about 80,000 tons of oil since early 2016, a source in the country’s oil and gas market told Trend.

The source said the company has produced almost 4.8 million tons of oil to date.

“Currently, nearly 400 tons of oil per day is being produced from Kursangi and Garabagli fields,” added the source.

The output volume at these fields has been set at about 171,000 tons for 2016.

The founders of Salyan Oil are Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and the China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation.
