OPEC crude oil production rises

According to secondary sources, OPEC crude oil production averaged 33.39 million barrels per day in September, an increase of 0.22 million barrels per day over the previous month.

According to secondary sources, OPEC crude oil production averaged 33.39 million barrels per day in September, an increase of 0.22 million barrels per day over the previous month, the cartel said in its monthly oil market report published Oct.12.

Crude oil output increased mostly from Iraq, Nigeria and Libya, while production in Saudi Arabia showed the largest drop, according to the report.

Saudi Arabia’s crude oil production stood at 10.578 million barrels per day in August 2016, as compared to 10.491 million barrels per day in September 2016, said the cartel.

This figure amounted to 4.35 million barrels per day in Iraq in August 2016, compared to 4.455 million barrels per day in September of the same year, according to the report.
