North American oil prices up by 2.6%

The average price of North American crude on October 19 was $50.9 per barrel, or $1.3 more than on October 18, a source in the oil and gas market told Trend.

The average price of North American crude on October 19 was $50.9 per barrel, or $1.3 more than on October 18, a source in the oil and gas market told Trend.

The spot price for WTI, produced in Texas, the US, rose on Oct. 19 by $1.29 to stand at $51.59 per barrel.

WTI is mainly used to produce gasoline and therefore the demand for it is high, particularly in the US and China.

The price for WTS (Midland) oil was $51.04 per barrel on Oct. 19, or $1.24 more than the previous price.

The cost of LLS light oil was $53.14 per barrel on Oct. 19, or $1.29 more than the previous price.

The price of a barrel of Mars oil on Oct. 19 was $48.64, $1.31 more than the previous price, while the price of Bakken oil amounted to $50.09 per barrel, which is $1.39 more than on Oct. 18.

The price of November futures for Nymex Light Sweet on Oct. 19 was $51.6 per barrel, or $1.31 more than the previous figure.
