SOCAR to send 85,000 tons of oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR will send around 85,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in July 2017, a source in SOCAR told Trend June 30.

According to the plans, SOCAR plans to send 425,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in the third quarter of 2017.

SOCAR sent 330,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in the second quarter of 2017, and around 325,000 tons in the first quarter of 2017.

SOCAR transported 1.22 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2016, as compared to 1.27 million tons in 2015.

The Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,147 kilometers long. The length of its Azerbaijani section is 231 kilometers, and Russian section is 916 kilometers long.

The pipeline’s maximum pumping capacity is 105,000 barrels per day. SOCAR plans to transport 1.5 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2017.
