Turkmenistan and Afghanistan are studying the projects that will help unite electricity networks of the countries of Central and South Asia, the Turkmen government said in a message.
This issue was mulled in Ashgabat during the talks between presidents of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
“A significant contribution of Turkmenistan in socio-economic development of Afghanistan is the creation of additional power capacities in Afghanistan, which will significantly increase the volumes of supply of Turkmen electricity to the neighboring state and farther through it,” the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news service writes.
