Azerbaijan is the biggest electricity supplier to Georgia, Georgia Today newspaper reported Jan. 8.
Some 48.7 percent of Georgia’s total electricity import accounted for Azerbaijan in November 2017, followed by Russia (46.5 percent) and Armenia (4.8 percent).
In general, the import of electricity by Georgia increased by 8.7 times to 110.2 GWh compared to the figures in 2016.
The transit of electricity from Azerbaijan to Turkey through Georgia decreased by 82.7 percent to 22.8 GWh in November 2017.
