Salyan Oil Ltd, the operating company which is developing the Kursangi and Garabagli onshore fields in Azerbaijan, produced about 162,000 tons of oil in 2017, a source in the country’s oil and gas market told Trend.
“The company managed to stabilize production at about 445 tons per day due to certain technical and repair measures,” the source said.
The source added that the oil production plan for 2018 will be determined at the meeting of the company’s steering committee in the coming days.
Production from 252 wells is underway at the Kursangi and Garabagli fields.
The founders of Salyan Oil are Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and the China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (CNODC).
