Uztransgaz JSC, a structural subdivision of Uzbekneftegaz , plans to supply the population 399,000 tons of liquefied gas and 590,000 gas cylinders.
Last year, according to the plan, 750,000 units of household gas cylinders were delivered to the population. As a result, their total number reached 3.7 million units, which allowed to fully meet the demand of residents for gas cylinders.
Overall, more than 2.8 million families are provided with liquefied gas. In 2018, additional volumes of blue fuel are stipulated to increase monthly provision of each apartment by an average of 10-15 kilograms.
Today, gas fuel is supplied to over 6.1 million consumers in the country. About 5,700 wholesale consumers of natural gas are industrial enterprises, approximately 45,500 objects of consumer services and another 31,500 - individual entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile, A single retail price for liquefied gas for the population will be introduced in Uzbekistan in accordance with a government decree since Aug.1,2018. Under the decree, the transition to a single retail price will take place in two stages. First, from April 1, 2018 for each of the regions of the country will be set its own price for 1 kilogram of liquefied gas.
In the second stage, starting from Aug. 1, 2018, a single price of 800 soums per 1 kilogram of liquefied gas will be established throughout the country.
Today, Uzbekistan is implementing a special program to develop the infrastructure for providing the population with liquefied gas. In 2017, 40 service centers were built for the storage and sale of domestic gas cylinders, 40 special vehicles were purchased for their transportation, five gas filling stations were commissioned.
Presently, Uzbekistan's gas transportation system consists of more than 13,600 kilometers of main gas pipelines. The capacities of "Uzbekneftegaz" allow to extract 60-70 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
