Yildirim Holding of Turkey and Kazakhstan’s Kazgeology JSC have reached an agreement on establishment of a joint venture for geological exploration.
The delegation of Kazakhstan held talks with Turkish companies in Istanbul as part of the investment week to discuss cooperation in industry, construction, health care and textile industry, AKIPRESS reported.
The delegation of Kazakhstan led by Vice Minister for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan Arystan Kabikenov met with top managers of such companies as Yildirim Holding and Calik Holding.
Representatives of Calik Holding noted their readiness to participate in projects in Kazakhstan. The company plans to build a 50 MW solar power plant. It is ready to consider investments into the renewable energy sources.
The management of Yildirim Holding expressed interest in metallurgical projects in Kazakhsdtan. The Holding and Kazgeology JSC reached agreement on establishment of a joint venture for geological exploration.
Yildirim Holding works on 5 projects now. In summer, the Holding plans to start geological exploration in Jambyl region of Kazakhstan.
The delegation of Kazakhstan also met with Eczacıbaşı Holding, manufacturer of medicines and consumer goods, Bak-Ay Tekstil, yarn producer, which expressed interest in opening a factory in Kazakhstan.
Calik Holding is one of Turkey’s biggest financial and industrial groups active in energy sector, construction, finances, metallurgical, textile industries, telecommunications.
Lidya Madencilik owns 20 perceny of the Copler mine, which is the second largest gold mine in Turkey.
