In 2017, the direct foreign investments to Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector amounted to $4.9 billion against $5.62 billion in 2016 (a 12.8 percent reduction), reads the "Azerbaijan in Figures 2018", published by the State Statistical Committee.
The total foreign investments to Azerbaijan last year amounted to $9.12 billion, which is 10.2 percent less than in 2016.
Meanwhile, $5.71 billion fell on direct investments.
Also last year, Azerbaijan received $1.4 million as oil bonuses.
