Georgia buys gasoline, diesel fuel from Turkmenistan

Georgia's most significant import of gasoline and diesel fuel in June 2018 came from Turkmenistan, in the amount of 21,100 tons - 24.3 percent of all the country's imports, said the message of "Turkmenneft”.

Turkmenistan is followed by Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Azerbaijan, Greece.

In June of this year, exports of gasoline and diesel fuel to Georgia amounted to 86,900 tons, which is 1,900 tons more than in June 2017.

In total, in January-June 2018, Georgia imported 516,800 tons of oil products, which is 60,000 tons more than the same period last year.

Of these, for 1H2018, gasoline imports amounted to 256,700 tons, and import of diesel fuel - 260,100 tons, Georgian media reported.

Gasoline in Turkmenistan is produced by two oil refineries in the city of Turkmenbashi and Seydi. In 2017, Turkmenistan exceeded its plan for gasoline production by 1.4 percent.
