Kazakhstan reveals oil production forecast

Oil production in Kazakhstan will increase from 88 million tons in 2019 to 99 million tons in 2023, Kazakh Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov said.

He was presenting forecasts on Kazakhstan’s socio-economic development for the next three years in the country’s parliament, Kazinform reported.

"Processing industry, agro-industrial complex, construction industry, transportation and logistics, as well as service economy will become the main forces of the growth,” Suleimenov said.

He added that according to forecasts, manufacture industry will grow 4.4 percent, while mining industry will grow 3 percent.

“Agriculture will grow 6.4 percent, construction industry will increase 4.2 percent, and the trade sector will grow 4.6 percent,” he noted.

The minister added that exports will amount to $55.6 billion in 2019 with an increase to $68.5 billion in 2023, while the imports will grow from $34.8 billion in 2019 to $41.9 billion in 2023.
