Eight buildings of Iran's Kurdistan Gas Company have been supplied with solar panels, Ahmad Falagari, executive director at the company, said in an interview with IRNA.
He noted that the panels have been installed in Sanandaj, Saqqez, Qorveh, Bijar, Sarvabad and Marivan cities of the province.
Falagari said the solar panels installed atop the company's buildings are capable of producing 70 kilowatts of energy per hour.
He added that despite high costs, other Iranian provinces also strive to install solar panels.
"Solar panels dramatically decrease electricity usage and our goal is to generate our own electricity while helping the electricity network," he stressed.
