By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

The priorities of GE Renewable Energy, a division of the US General Electric, in Kazakhstan at the moment are focused on delivering 13 GE 3.8-130 onshore wind turbines, with a hub height of 85m, 3.8MW of power and a 130meter rotor, the company told Trend.

“These will be installed in the north-west region in the Aktobe oblast, at the Badamsha wind farm.

Badamsha represents Eni’s first large-scale investment in wind power and GE’s first wind onshore project in Kazakhstan,” said the company.

GE Renewable Energy said its focus is on engineering renewable energy products and digital services that create industry-leading value for our customers around the world.

“Badamsha is GE’s first wind onshore project in Kazakhstan and that’s where our focus is on as a renewable energy business,” the company said.

As for the prospects for operation in Turkmenistan, GE Renewable Energy said the company is always ready and willing to work with its customers.

“GE Renewable Energy is not active in Turkmenistan and doesn’t have wind projects in the country at the moment. There is no established wind market in the Turkmenistan today. Eventually, wind projects will most likely be planned to be built, however, we have no visibility on actual projects at the moment,” said the company.

“As mentioned before, as the top renewable energy equipment provider, we’re always ready and willing to work with our customers in the eventuality that they are interested developing a project(s) in this country. This is dependent on our customers in their role as renewable energy developers.”

GE Renewable Energy is a division of General Electric headquartered in Paris, France focusing on onshore and offshore wind, solar, and hydroelectric power generation.

GE Renewable Energy was created in 2015.

General Electric Company (GE) is an American multinational conglomerate incorporated in New York and headquartered in Boston.
