Kazakhstan ends 2018 with good dynamics of indicators of the fuel and energy complex development, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.
"Oil production will be 90.3 million tons, which is a record, 104.7 percent compared to 2017. Oil production in the three major projects will amount to 53.9 million tons," Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev said.
In particular, the Kashagan field will produce 13.2 million tons of oil (120 percent of the 2018 plan), Tengiz – 28.6 million tons (103.3 percent), and Karachaganak – 12.1 million tons (100.8 percent).
The minister added that by the end of the year Kazakhstan’s oil exports will amount to 71.5 million tons, or 102.4 percent compared to 2017, while oil refining will reach 16.1 million tons, an increase of 8 percent compared to 2017.
"Gas production for the year will exceed the plan by 2.6 percent, amounting to 54.8 billion cubic meters. Commercial gas production increased to 33 billion cubic meters, growth of 4.4 percent, and of liquefied natural gas – to 3 million tons, growth of 3.4 percent compared to 2017," Bozumbayev said.
At the same time, gas exports will amount to 19 billion cubic meters, an increase of 10.4 percent compared to 2017.
