Kazakhstan produced 8 million tons of oil, including gas condensate, in January 2019, Trend reports via Ranking.kz.

More than half of production (4.4 million tons, 55.1 percent) accounted for the Atyrau region, followed by the Mangistau (1.5 million tons, share of 19 percent) and West Kazakhstan (1.1 million tons, share of 13.3 percent) regions.

Compared to January last year, the volume of oil produced, including gas condensate, increased by 5.4 percent, or 409,200 tons.

Crude oil accounted for 86.5 percent of the total output, the production growth was 7.3 percent year-on-year to 6.9 million tons. The share of gas condensate, in turn, decreased from 15 to 13.5 percent, its production declined by 5.2 percent to 1.1 million tons.

Due to the growth of oil output, fuel production also increased: gasoline — by 31.5 percent year-on-year to 378,900 tons, and diesel fuel — by 10.6 percent to 395,900 tons.

It should be noted that the Atyrau region (123,700 tons), Shymkent city (139,400 tons) and the Pavlodar region (112,000 tons) were leading in gasoline production this January.
