Russian oil company resumes operations in Turkmenistan

In 2019, Russia’s Tatneft resumed work for increasing oil reservoir recovery and repair of wells in the Goturdepe field in western Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the company.
This was announced at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Tatneft, which was held recently under the chairmanship of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Last year, the state-owned Turkmenneft and Tatneft concerns signed an additional agreement on the extension of the contract.
Tatneft is one of Russia’s largest oil companies, and has been on the Turkmen market since 2010.
It was earlier reported that the Russian company is interested in providing services for the restoration of oil wells in Turkmenistan, along with the supply of oilfield equipment, chemicals, base oils and tire products.
