Russian Zarubezhneft, Uzbekneftegaz to launch project to increase hydrocarbon production

Russian Zarubezhneft JSC and Uzbekneftegaz JSC have signed an agreement on the main conditions for implementation of the project in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Zarubezhneft.

The companies also signed a roadmap to ensure timely and high-quality work at the Khartoum, East Khartoum and South Alamyshik fields in order to increase hydrocarbon production.

The signing of this agreement was another important milestone in the successful cooperation of Zarubezhneft JSC and Uzbekneftegaz JSC within the framework of the previously established joint venture Andijanpetro LLC.

Zarubezhneft JSC is a Russian oil and gas company of strategic importance. Company's strategy states that entering into new projects is one of the main lines of business development.

Earlier in February, Sergey Kudryashov, General Director of Zarubezhneft, made a report to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the progress of cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz, and in March the companies registered a joint venture company AndijanPetro to implement an oil recovery project at mature fields in the Fergana Valley.
