The first inflow of natural gas was received at the new Aralyk field in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

"Aralyk" is located in Muynak district of Karakalpakstan. The depth of the first well of the new field reaches 3,910 meters.

The results of test work show that an industrial flow of natural gas was obtained here with a preliminary flow rate of 700,000-800,000 m3 per day.

In the near future, work will be carried out on testing the possibly productive horizons at the well, and gas condensate studies have been carried out to clarify the parameters of the formations.

In addition, experts will drill the next exploratory wells #2 and #3 with a full range of geophysical research.

The first gas in Uzbekistan was produced in 1953 at the Setalan-tepe field in the Kyzyl-Kum desert. In 1962, with the introduction of transcontinental gas pipelines Bukhara-Ural and Central Asia - Center were laid in the development of the unique Gazli field.

Industrial oil development in Uzbekistan began in 1885. It was mined from two wells near the village of Cimion in the Fergana Valley. In 1900 serious exploration began in the area and in 1904 gushing oil was obtained from a depth of more than 270 meters.
