The oil production of the Maroun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) located in the Ahvaz county of Iran’s Khuzestan province increased by more than 103 percent over the three Iranian months (March 21 - June 21) this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), MOGPC Executive Director Hamid Kavian said, Trend reports with reference to the company’s website.
He noted that the program for increasing production has been implemented since the second half of last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018).
He added that some of the needs of the company were satisfied by implementation of the project on the development of 28 oil storage tanks in southern oil fields in Iran, as well as implementation of a number of other projects.
MOGPC produces about 580,000 barrels of oil daily. Part of it is intended for domestic consumption, while the rest of the produced oil is exported.
