Iran's Tabriz Oil Refinery to launch 3 projects

Tabriz Oil Refinery in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province will commission three new projects, Gholamreza Bagheri Dizaj, CEO of Tabriz Oil Refining Company, told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, one of these projects revolves around raising the quality of petrol produced by the company to the Euro 5 standard.

Bagheri Dizaj added that 265 million euros have been spent on the project. Some 20,000 barrels of oil will be processed daily and one million liters of gasoline will be produced a day.

“The second project is about producing diesel in accordance with the Euro 5 standard. The project cost 70 million euros. Some 10,000 tons of oil will be processed daily, and 2.5 million liters of diesel will also be produced daily,” he said.

The third project involves the production of various oils, according to Bagheri Dizaj. About 15 million euros have been spent on this project. Some 40,000 tons of oil will be produced for petrol and diesel engines annually.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will visit East Azerbaijan Province on August 1 to attend the launch of these and a number of other projects.
