During the first half of 2019, oil and gas condensate production of Kazakhstan’s National Company KazMunaiGas decreased by 0.5 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 11.704 million tons, which is in line with company’s plan, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the company.

Furthermore, natural and associated gas production increased by 0.9 percent to 4.160 billion cubic meters.

“During 1H2019, Kashagan oil field’s oil production was down by 7.6 percent compared to 1H2018 and equaled 5.705 million tons or 250,000 barrels a day. Company’s share in Kashagan oil and gas production decreased by 7.6 percent and 6.3 percent to 472,000 tons of oil and 278 million cubic meters of gas, respectively. The decline in oil and gas production was due to the scheduled overhaul of onshore and offshore complexes and a production halt from April 14 to May 19 2019,” the report said.

According to the report, company’s share in Karachaganak’s oil production decreased by 5.4 percent compared to 1H2018 and amounted to 535,000 tons. In turn, gas production decreased by 0.5 percent and stood at 982 million cubic meters. The decrease in production is mainly attributable to high gas-condensate factor and increasing water-cut.

“Company’s share in Tengiz oil field’s oil production increased by 1.5 percent compared to 1H2018 and equaled 2.992 million tons,” the statement said.

Furthermore, Tengiz gas production increased by 1.3 percent year-on-year with company’s share amounting to 1.636 billion cubic meters due to reliable operation of the Sour Gas Injection, Complex Technology Lines and Second Generation Plant, noted in the report

“Company’s share in operating assets’ production slightly decreased by 0.5 percent and amounted to 7.707 million tons. The decrease is primarily driven by natural decline of oil production,” the press office said.

During the first half of 2019, company’s share in sales of oil and gas condensate produced by KazMunaiGas increased by 0.5 percent compared to 1H2018 and amounted to 11.641 million tons including 8.225 million tons of export volumes.
