Iran’s petrochemical industry capacity will reach 133 million tons in 2025, said Iranian deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs and CEO of National Petrochemical Company Behzad Mohammadi, Trend reports via NIPNA news agency.
He said that this will become possible by commissioning 53 projects.
Mohammadi added that Iran produces 66 million tons of products in the petrochemical industry.
“With the implementation of 27 petrochemical projects, production will reach about 100 million tons by March 2022,” he said.
He noted that Iran’s profit from sales of petrochemicals is $17 billion. He added that it will reach $24 billion by March 2021 and $37 billion in 2025.
