The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has completed the second stage of the pipelaying work at the West Absheron gas condensate field, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Trend reports referring to the company.
The work is being carried out by the Suleyman Vezirov pipelaying vessel and the Yarenga offshore supply ship of the company.
Currently, an 8-inch subsea pipeline stretching almost 11,500 meters has been built at the field between the platforms #23 and #57. At the next stage, the pipelines will be built in the territory of gas separation point #2 at the Bulla-Deniz field. A pipeline 27 kilometers long is planned to be laid.
The West Absheron and Bulla-Deniz fields, which are developed by the Azneft production union, are on the balance of the Azerbaijani State Oil Company SOCAR.
