A new complex for the production of mineral fertilizers is being built with the introduction of modern energy-saving technologies in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

The modern complex is being built as part of the President’s decree on measures to implement the investment project “Construction of the production of ammonia and urea at JSC Navoiazot” dated July 21, 2015.

“The launch of the modernized production of ammonia and urea at JSC Navoiazot is scheduled for 2020,” the press service reported.

Enter Engineering Ltd that is engaged in the construction of the facility is one of the leading companies specializing in the construction of industrial facilities in Uzbekistan today.

The construction of a modern complex for the production of mineral fertilizers with the introduction of modern energy-saving technologies will not only contribute to providing the domestic market with demanded products, but will also significantly increase the export potential of the industry and Uzbekistan as a whole, read the message.

With the commissioning of the complex, the production of ammonia and ammonium nitrate will almost double. Moreover, the consumption of heat and energy resources will be reduced significantly. Innovative technologies meet modern world standards and are aimed at reducing the level of harmful emissions into the environment.

“Furthermore, the creation of a new production will make it possible to provide work for about 500 people, mainly the local population. This will be a positive impetus in the development of Navoi region,” the ministry said.

Commissioning of the facility will allow receiving 660,000 tons of ammonia and 577,500 tons of urea per year, to expand the range of mineral fertilizers produced on their basis. To implement the project, a contract was signed with a consortium of Japanese companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation on a turnkey basis, said the message.
